Welcome to theScotia Rec Hockey League
A captain-led hockey league in Halifax offering beginner-friendly open co-ed adult hockey.
Who We Are
The Scotia Recreational Hockey League (SRHL) was created in the summer of 2026 to fill a gap in beginner and beginner friendly adult hockey here in Halifax.
Whether you're a prospective player, spare, full team, or captain, you're invited to join our Discord community using the link above. Discord is an app for building communities. It's the first place you'll hear about sparing opportunities and league updates.
We love playing fun, easy-going, recreational hockey. If that sounds like you, come say hi!
Doolittles Sports Bar & Grill will be hosting the Scotia Rec Hockey League for a drop-in social on Sunday, October 4 at 7:00 pm.
This is a great chance to meet the players on other teams while you enjoy a purchased appetizer or cold beverage. Invite your friends and partner; past, present, and future roster players/spares are all welcome!
Jerseys are encouraged. Wear your SRHL team sweater, or any other you've got handy. Maybe... wash it first?
Come a few minutes early to sign up for a free pickup at CHP on Saturday, October 10 at 10:00 pm. Only current roster players are eligible, and we will reserve a handful of spots for each team to join.
